Inline with the Manipal University’s legacy of  quality education, the university uses the latest and  innovative methods to impart education. MUJ offers programs in varied disciplines of Engineering,  sciences, Management, law, arts, and journalism.

Department of Chemical Engineering

The department of chemical engineering was established in 2014 that has been recognized for its significant research contribution on industrial problems such as waste to wealth, porous materials, catalysis, and water treatment. The department works meticulously on the current societal problems in collaboration with the academic and industrial partners to meet the societal needs. The department has recently developed a pilot scale oxygen generator in collaboration with Monash University & Curtin University, Australia and holds a budget of around ₹ 50 million obtained through various funding agencies like DST, SERB and industry. We offer B.Tech (Hons.) program in Petroleum Engineering and Computer Aided Process Engineering and Ph.D. in all major areas of chemical engineering. We have well equipped dedicated labs to our research and UG programs that caters to the requirements of the students and research scholars.

Department of Chemistry has come a long way since its inception in 2011 by making significant contribution in education and research in all areas of chemistry and allied branches. Department offers B.Sc (Hons.), M.Sc (Chemistry) and PhD in all major areas of Chemistry. Department has well equipped labs to cater to the requirements of undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs. Faculty members have received funding from external agencies like KURITA-Japan, DST-GoI. UGC-DAE, DBT-GoI, DST-Rajasthan to name a few.
